Liz sighed as she returned to her room late Sunday evening after being at the BPRD for the weekend. The weekend hadn't been as bad as she had thought it would but it had still been awkward. Talking to Professor Broom had helped and it had been nice to see Abe and Hellboy again.

She placed her luggage on the floor and let Blackie out of her pet carrier. She sat on her bed, she wondered if any of the exercises that she had done on the weekend would actually help her. She summoned flames in her hand and stared at them. Once she had done that, she made the flames go away before summoning them again.
